PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic secondary battery deformation detection sensor, a hermetic secondary battery deformation detection sensor manufacturing method, a hermetic secondary battery, and a hermetic secondary battery deformation detection method, capable of detecting only a large deformation noticed at an abnormal time with high sensitivity without sensing a small deformation noticed at a normal time.SOLUTION: A hermetic secondary battery deformation detection sensor comprises: a polymer matrix layer; and a detection unit, the polymer matrix layer containing a filler dispersed therein and changing an external field in response to a deformation in the polymer matrix layer, the detection unit detecting a change in the external field, and Y/X≥5 is satisfied, where X denotes a change amount of the external field applied when the polymer matrix layer has a 2.5% distortion, and Y denotes a change amount of the external field applied when the polymer matrix layer has a 10% distortion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
