Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new technique of accurate noise removal by wavelets using a dyadic lifting scheme while preserving edges.SOLUTION: A noise removal device comprises: a training image information unit 21 that stores noiseless training image information and noisy training image information obtained by adding, for each of one or plural kinds of noise, the noise to the noiseless training image information; a learning area cutout unit 22 that associates the noiseless training image information with the noisy training image information, and cuts out any learning areas for each kind of noise from the respective pieces of training image information; a filter generation unit 23 that generates a filter that has learned to eliminate a difference between both of the cutout learning areas; and a noise removal unit 25 that applies the generated filter to a noise image 26 to be a target of noise removal for each learning area to remove noises of the noise image 26.
