Abstract:
To provide an object detection system comprising a plurality of object detection units having an ultrasonic wave transmission-reception unit and a temperature sensor, in which the accuracy of detecting an object is improved taking into account the possibility of the temperature sensor becoming faulty.SOLUTION: The object detection system as an example of the present disclosure comprises a plurality of object detection units. The object detection units include a transmission-reception unit for transmitting an ultrasonic wave and receiving a reflected wave generated as the ultrasonic wave is reflected by an object, a reception circuit unit for detecting the signal level of the reflected wave received by the transmission-reception unit, a detection unit for comparing the signal level detected by the reception circuit unit with a prescribed signal threshold and detecting the object, a temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of an environment, and a detection sensitivity adjustment unit for adjusting the detection sensitivity of the reception circuit unit on the basis of the second lowest temperature among the temperatures detected by each of the temperature sensors in the plurality of object detection units.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
