Abstract:
To achieve improvement in oil separation efficiency while suppressing increase in cost.SOLUTION: An oil separator comprises: a device body 21 which has a cylindrical shank 211, and in which an upper end opening and a lower end opening thereof are blocked by an upper lid member 212 and a lower lid member 213; and an introduction pipe 24 of which at least a tip part 241 is so provided as to be inclined with respect to a cross section of the shank 211 in a mode close to an arbitrary portion on an inner wall surface of the shank 211 while penetrating a prescribed portion of the device body 21, and which introduces an oil-mixed refrigerant into the device body 21. The oil-mixed refrigerant, which has been introduced through the introduction pipe 24, is centrifugally separated into refrigerant and oil, the refrigerant is discharged by a refrigerant discharge pipe 22 and the oil is discharged by an oil discharge pipe 23. In the introduction pipe 24, a ratio of shortest distance d2 between a tip opening 242 of the tip part 241 and a center axis C of the shank 211 to a radius distance d1 of the shank 211 is 0.75 to 0.8, and an angle θ between an extension direction of the tip part 241 between a straight line which connects the tip opening 242 and the center axis C of the shank 211 is 40 to 50°.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
