Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating a pure water production apparatus where the concentration of DO reaches a low value from directly after the start of the first operation.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for operating an ultrapure water production device comprising: an ultraviolet light irradiation oxidization apparatus into which the water to be treated is introduced; and a noble metal catalyst-charged container into which the effluent water in the ultraviolet light irradiation oxidization apparatus is passed, in which the water to be treated is irradiated with ultraviolet rays so as to be oxidized, thereafter, by contacting the same with a catalyst to obtain ultrapure water freed from dissolved oxygen, prior to the start of the operation of the ultrapure water production device, the noble metal catalyst stored with hydrogen is beforehand charged into the noble metal catalyst charging container.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
