Abstract:
A device that can perform the function of a laser pointer but is safer than a laser pointer is provided. This light pointer has a first lens (150), a second lens (160), and a light-source system (140) that, in effect, functions as a point light source. The light-source system (140) is either an LED or an EL element and does not use a laser. Light leaving the light-source system (140) passes through the second lens (160), which has a negative power, increasing the beam angle of said light. Said light then heads towards and passes through the first lens (150), which has a positive power, and becomes, in effect, collimated light, which hits a prescribed target object and forms a light spot similar to the light spot formed by a laser pointer.
