Abstract:

To properly evaluate pattern noise resulting from a tread pattern of a tire.

First, a load F is applied to the tire 10 to roll it on a road surface 40. Second, contact reactive force RF occurring between the tire 10 and the road surface 40 is acquired. The pattern noise of the tire 10 is then evaluated on the basis of fluctuations in the acquired contact reactive force RF. For evaluating the pattern noise, a difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of the contact reactive force RF within a predetermined period may be used.
