Abstract:
To provide a packaging machine in which wrinkles and scratches are less likely to occur in bags when opened.SOLUTION: A packaging machine 10 of the invention is equipped with a gripping unit 20 for gripping a predetermined bag, and an opening unit 30 for opening the bag gripped by the gripping unit 20, wherein the gripping unit 20 is equipped with a pair of gripping jaws 26 that grip the two side edges of the bag H respectively, and a swivel mechanism 21 that moves the gripping jaws 26 reciprocally in the approaching and separating directions respectively. This allows the gripping jaws, which grip the edges of the bag, to move in a reciprocating swivel, resulting in wrinkles, scratches, etc. around the bag's gripping points being less likely to occur.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
