To provide a peroxycinnamate derivative with both thermopolymerizability and photopolymerizability capable of generating radicals by efficiently absorbing light with, e.g., the wavelength of 365 nm emitted from a lamp.SOLUTION: The peroxycinnamate derivative is represented by general formula (1) in the figure.
