Abstract:
The invention relates to 17alpha-fluorosteroids of general formula (I), where R<1> = H or CH3, R<2> and R<3> = H, Cl or CH3 and a single- or double-bond is arranged between carbon atoms 6 and 7 and between 9 and 10 and pharmaceutical compositions comprising said compounds. Said compounds have an activity profile with a hybrid character, acting as 5alpha-reductase inhibitors and simultaneously as high-potency gestagens and are thus suitable for the treatment of diseases in certain organs and tissues of men and women resulting form a high concentration of androgens. In connection with other hormonal substances, such as oestrogen, testosterone or another strong androgen, said compounds are suitable for use as contraceptives and other similar applications in men and women.
