PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide highly efficient, high-performance photoelectric conversion element.SOLUTION: There is provided a photoelectric conversion element comprising a first electrode 2 coated with an electron transport layer 5 and a second electrode 6 facing the electron transport layer 5 of the first electrode 2, where a diketopyrrolopyrrole derivative is adsorbed, as a photosensitizing compound 4, on an electron transport material constituting the electron transport layer 5. It is preferable that the diketopyrrolopyrrole derivative be adsorbed on the electron transport layer 5 as the photosensitizing compound 4 in a supercritical fluid using carbon dioxide.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
