Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image inspection method and device, a program, and an ink jet printer which can highly accurately detect a stripe defect.SOLUTION: An image inspection device acquires an inspection image obtained by imaging a printed matter printed by an ink jet printer provided with a line head with imaging means, creates a first smoothed inspection image obtained by smoothing the inspection image with morphology processing of a gray image by using at least one non-scanning direction straight structural element being a straight structural element in a direction non-parallel to a direction of relatively scanning a medium by the line head (S22, S24), and detects a stripe defect extending in the scanning direction by using at least either of the inspection image or a second smoothed inspection image created on the basis of the inspection image, as well as the first smoothed inspection image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
