Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a pneumatic tire that is balanced at a higher level while satisfying the grasping performance, the low rolling performance and wear resistance on dry and wet road surfaces. The solution is to use a pneumatic tire including a main groove 21 in a tread portion 1, wherein the area ratio of the main groove 21 is 20% to 30%, and the groove depth of the main groove 21 is 6 mm to 9 mm; and a rubber composition for forming the tread of the tread portion 1 is blended with 50 parts by mass to 150 parts by mass of silica and 100 parts by mass to 60 DEG C to 150 DEG C. of the aromatic modified terpene resin 5, with respect to 100 parts by mass of the modified diene rubber. In the amount of 5% by mass to 15% by mass of the silane coupling agent, the amount of the silica is 5% by mass to 15% by mass, and the alkyl group having 7 to 20 carbon atoms is blended with respect to the amount of silica. The alkyltriethoxysilane is 0.1% by mass to 20% by mass.
