Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer flocculant excellent in flocculability, filtration rate and filtrate appearance, having a large floc diameter, capable of effectively dewatering and capable of making a dewatering cake having low water content and of exerting flocculation performance in a wide-range addition rate, and to provide a production method therefor and a sludge dewatering method using the flocculant.SOLUTION: There are provided a polymer flocculant being a cross-linking type water-soluble polymer whose aqueous solution has a prescribed viscoelasticity, and a sludge dewatering method using the polymer as the polymer flocculant. In the polymer, the relation of a storage elastic modulus G1 with a loss elastic modulus G2 of 0.1 mass% aqueous solution in distortion rate dependency measurement is G2G1 when that rate is over 350%, and besides, the relation of the storage elastic modulus G3 with the loss elastic modulus G4 of 0.1 mass% aqueous solution in angular frequency dependence measurement is G3G4 when that frequency is over 15 rad/s.SELECTED DRAWING: None
