Abstract:
Power consumed by a plurality of sensing units is reduced. A portable type information processing apparatus includes a plurality of sensing units that acquire information convertible into place information indicating a current location and detect an event which occurs in relation to the place information obtained through conversion from the information, a storage unit that stores event transition information indicating a relation between order of transitions between events and elapsed time periods during the transitions, and a control unit that obtains, as a current event, a latest event and controls an operating state of a sensing unit to detect a transition destination event of an event corresponding to the current event in the event transition information based on a relation between a transition time period from the event to the transition destination event in the event transition information and an elapsed time period since detection of the current event.
