Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a position control device with which the space-for-movement for an object to be controlled can be widened and the position of the object to be controlled can be accurately controlled. [Solution] The present invention comprises: a plurality of cords 30 connected to an object 10 to be controlled; a plurality of cord operation units 50 to which the cords 30 are connected, and which change a draw-in amount and a feed-out amount of the cords 30 while applying tension to the cords 30; and a control unit 90 that controls the position of the object 10 to be controlled in a space-for-movement AR by controlling the cord operation units 50 so as to change the draw-in amount and the feed-out amount of the cords. The plurality of cords 30 are disposed so that a retentive force in the forward/reverse directions of a first direction, a retentive force in the forward/reverse directions of a second direction, and a retentive force in the forward/reverse directions of a third direction are exerted on the object 10 to be controlled.
