To provide a technology for performing correction of a colorimetry value by temperature with an easy method and constitution.
A patch to be printed is fixed to a printing position on a recording medium, the color of the patch to be printed is measured after the fixing, and the white paper temperature of the recording medium is measured. Using a previously determined relative temperature value and the measured white paper temperature for the patch to be printed that is printed at a printing position on the recording medium, a temperature on the basis of the measured white paper temperature of the patch fixed to the printing position is determined as a temperature used for correcting the colorimetry value.
