Abstract:
To solve a problem that DPR setting does not correspond to usage of a printing device.SOLUTION: A printing device 10 includes: a printing unit 20 for performing printing; a power supply circuit 12 for supplying power to the printing unit 20; a control circuit 31 for controlling the printing unit 20 and the power supply circuit 12; and a USB-Type-C interface 60 which can be switched between a first state for implementing a printing operation and a second state for supplying power to an external device. The USB-Type-C interface 60 includes a state identification terminal 63 which is kept to a first potential indicating that it is connected in the first state or a second potential indicating that it is connected in the second state. When an external device is not connected to the USB-Type-C interface 60, the state identification terminal 63 is periodically switched between the first potential and the second potential in a unit time period, and, in the unit time period, a period when it is kept to the second potential is longer than a period when it is kept to the first potential.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
