Abstract:
To allow even a printer capable of using various roll bodies with different internal diameters to acquire information on a printing medium just by setting a roll body to the printer.SOLUTION: A printer includes: a medium holding part for holding a roll body formed by winding a belt-like printing medium into a roll; a wall part for guiding one of the side faces of the roll body; and multiple antennae provided to the wall part along a surface orthogonal to an axial direction of the roll body held by the medium holding part to communicate with a communication tag attached on an inside of the roll body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A
