Abstract:
To provide a printer capable of raising the possibility that a document is divided at a dividing position easier to see.SOLUTION: A printer if the number of pages of a document exceeds an upper-limit value of stapling, detects a candidate for a dividing position based on a break position to become a content break of the document. If a page in which a break position is set at a top of a page is included in one or more candidates detected, determines a dividing position between the page and a page existing immediately preceding the page. By dividing the document at the dividing position into a plurality of divisional documents, stapling is carried out on each divisional document.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
