Abstract:
To provide a printer which can satisfactorily control initialization operation by a post-processing device.SOLUTION: The printer capable of installing a post-processor that includes an insertion port to which a cartridge storing a post-processing member is inserted and a first cover covering the insertion port, includes a printing part, a control part, a communication part, and a storage part. The control part does not transmit an initialization instruction when a non-cartridge flag is not stored in the storage part (S12: NO) in a state in which the communication part receives an initialization request during a stand-by state of the printing part, and transmits the initialization instruction to the post-processor through the communication part when it is shifted from the stand-by state to a printing state by receiving a printing instruction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
