Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system and a printing device which can perform printing at the printing speed conventionally exercised by a printer without the occurrence of toner shortage in the middle of printing.SOLUTION: A printing system and a printing device include: a first consumption amount calculation unit which calculates a first consumption amount of developer required in printing of a print image on the basis of printing data; a developer residual amount detection unit which detects a residual amount of the developer; a second consumption amount calculation unit which calculates a second consumption amount of the developer required in printing of the print image on the basis of the printing data; and a control unit which controls printing of the print image. The control unit compares the first consumption amount with the residual amount of the developer, executes printing of the print image when the first consumption amount exceeds the residual amount of the developer, and determines whether or not to execute printing of the print image on the basis of the comparison result between the second consumption amount and the residual amount of the developer when the first consumption amount is less than the residual amount of the developer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
