PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection circuit and the like, capable of controlling the working voltage properly with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A protection circuit has a control circuit for controlling the current between a first wiring and a second wiring, and an application circuit for applying a voltage to the control circuit. The control circuit has a first thin film transistor for controlling the current, and the application circuit has a second thin film transistor and a third thin film transistor connected in series. The second thin film transistor and third thin film transistor have a first gate and a second gate. The first gate of the second thin film transistor is connected with the first wiring, and the first gate of the third thin film transistor is connected with the connection point of the second and third thin film transistors. The second gates of the second thin film transistor and third thin film transistor are connected with the second wiring, and the application circuit applies the voltage of the connection point to the gate of the first thin film transistor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
