Abstract:

To provide pruning shears that prevent unexpected locking and lock cancellation of locking means, and can be easily operated by one hand.SOLUTION: Pruning shears have: a first constituent part having an upper blade part and a first operation part; a second constituent part having a lower blade part and a second operation part; a main shaft part which pivotally attaches the first constituent part and the second constituent part; a main elastic part which energizes the upper/lower blade parts so as to open the parts; and locking means for fixing the upper/lower blade parts in a closed blade state. The locking means includes: a main engaging part which is provided for the first constituent part or the second constituent part; and a lock plate capable of engaging/disengaging the main engaging part. The first constituent part or the second constituent part is equipped with at least one constituent part-side engaging part, and the locking means has: a first auxiliary lock part which locks the lock plate in the state in which the locking means is separated from the main engaging part; and a second auxiliary lock part which is capable of locking the lock plate in the state in which the locking means is locked with the main engaging part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
