Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack guide mechanism which inhibits inclination of a moving member in a more secure manner and thereby improves steering feeling, and to provide a vehicle steering device including the rack guide mechanism.SOLUTION: A rack guide mechanism includes: a rack housing; a moving member which is housed in a cylinder part 44 of the rack housing so as to move forward and rearward and comprises a support yoke 51 and a sheet member 52; a coil spring 53 which biases the moving member toward a back surface 3a of the rack shaft 3 and serves as an elastic member; and first screw members 551, 552 which are threadedly engaged with first and second screw holes 441, 442 penetrating through the interior of the cylinder part 44. Tip parts 551a, 552a of the first and second screw members 551, 552 are butted with an outer peripheral surface 51c of the support yoke 51 to restrict inclination of the support yoke 51 relative to the cylinder part 44.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
