Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver which can provide warning information for a user without generating an unnecessary incorrect warning, on receiving an emergency earthquake prompt report signal included in a television signal.SOLUTION: An unnecessary incorrect warning, caused by an incorrect reception of an emergency earthquake prompt report start signal included in an additional information signal, is suppressed. From an AC signal retained in a memory unit 6, a synchronous signal is detected in a synchronous detection unit 7. Also, from a transmission control signal retained in the memory unit 6, an operation unit 8 executes a majority operation among 36 bits, which are the sum of 2 bits of an emergency earthquake prompt report signal flag, 3 bits of signal identification and 31 bits of a part of parity on the additional information signal, so as to improve detection reliability of the emergency earthquake prompt report start signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
