Abstract:
To solve such a problem as that if the rail that supports the first tray forming a discharge tray extends to the front face of the device, a recess shape needs to be made on the first tray or the second tray, thereby complexing the structure and leading to the cost increase.SOLUTION: The medium receiving tray can switch between the first condition where it is stored in the main body of the device and the second condition where it projects the farthest. The main body of the device has a support member that can take the advancing position where it advances to the side of the medium receiving tray and the retreat position where it retreats from the advancing position. The main body of the device has a rail that supports the first tray that forms the medium receiving tray. The support member is positioned at the position projecting farther than the end in the projecting direction of the first tray from the main body of the device. The support member takes the retreat position when the medium receiving tray is in the first condition and takes the advancing position and supports from the underside the first tray that forms the medium receiving tray when the medium receiving tray is in the second condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
