Abstract:
To inhibit a decrease in image quality on a recording medium.SOLUTION: A control device for a printer performs: an anomaly detection process in which, based on a detection result of a non-transmission area by a detection sensor during constant-speed movement of a carriage, anomaly in a scale is detected and this anomaly information is stored in a RAM; a recording process in which, after the anomaly detection process, first and second recording operations are performed based on a received recording command; a passage determination process in which, based on the anomaly information stored in the RAM, it is determined whether the detection sensor passes through an anomaly position in an acceleration area in the second reading operation; and an alteration process in which, in a case where it is determined that the detection sensor passes through the anomaly position in the passage determination process, an acceleration start position in the second recording operation is altered such that the detection sensor does not pass through the anomaly position in the acceleration area in the second recording operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
