Abstract:
To realize a recording device capable of dealing with various sheet widths with a relatively simple structure.SOLUTION: A recording device according to the invention includes: a carriage which is equipped with a recording head for making records on a sheet and moves in a sheet width direction; a transport part which transports the sheet in a direction intersecting with the sheet width direction; a support part which is provided at the downstream side of the carriage in a path in which the sheet is transported by the transport part and which may be displaced between a guide position in which the support part guides the sheet and a retreat position; a linkage part which is displaced in conjunction with displacement of the support part; and a detection part which is mounted on the carriage and may detect displacement of the linkage part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
