Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a relay device having received a broadcast frame whose destination is specified by a geographical coordinate range from another relay device via a bus to avoid searching for a port to transmit the broadcast frame.SOLUTION: A relay device connected with a relay network together with another relay device includes: a storage device for storing one or more entries including an identifier of the other relay device, a port identifier of the other relay device, and a geographical coordinate range within which data transmitted from a port identified by the port identifier can be received by a terminal; a communication device for receiving a broadcast frame including a destination geographical coordinate range and data to be delivered to a terminal situated in the destination geographical coordinate range; and a transfer control device for performing processing to transmit a data block including the broadcast frame, the identifier, and the port identifier to the other relay device identified by the identifier by use of a path generated between the relay device and the other relay device when an entry meeting the destination geographical coordinate range has been retrieved.
