Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay device and a relay system that can enhance flexibility when a ring network is constructed.SOLUTION: A control frame transmission unit 21 generates a CCM frame on the basis of an Ethernet OAM, and transmits it at a prescribed transmission interval from ring ports Pr[1] and Pr[2]. A control frame reception unit 22 monitors the ring ports Pr[1] and Pr[2] to find whether a CCM frame from the outside of a device is received within a period of N times the prescribed transmission interval. A fault detection time setting unit 27 selects the value of N from a prescribed setting range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
