Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the rotation angle of a rotor accurately at low cost.SOLUTION: In a rotation angle detector 1, a first automatic amplitude adjustment unit 3 makes correction to adjust the amplitude values of analog hall signals derived from a plurality of operation signals HU+/HU-, HV+/HV- output by a plurality of hall elements 11u, 11v by orthogonalization by a differential unit 2, the result being an analog hall signal HUreal' after first amplitude adjustment and an actual analog hall signal HVreal, and a vector generation unit 4 adds/subtracts these signals to or from each other and generates vector component signals Vxpre, Vypre that are orthogonal to each other. A second automatic amplitude adjustment unit 5 makes correction to adjust the amplitudes of the vector component signals Vxpre, Vypre and outputs a vector X-axis component Vx and a vector Y-axis component Vy to a vector rotation computation unit 6. The vector rotation computation unit 6 and an angle search unit 7 search for the rotation angle of a rotor 12 on the basis of vectors represented by the vector X-axis component Vx and the vector Y-axis component Vy, and output a detected angle θd.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
