Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the dew condensation of water content included in a paper from occurring inside the case of a fixing unit and the main body case of a printer because the water content is evaporated at a thermal fixing time.
SOLUTION: A heating roller 15 and a pressing roller 16 are arranged inside the case of the fixing unit arranged by being adjacent to a process unit 3 transferring a toner image on the paper P supplied from a paper supply unit. Then, a water drop storage part 74 projecting downward is formed in the middle of the upper case of the fixing unit. Besides, plural vapor releasing holes 71 for releasing vapor generated at a fixing part to the outside are made to pierce through a part near to the upper part of an almost vertical wall body made to near to the outside circumferential surface of the roller 16 positioned on the upper side of the fixing part so as to be along in the width direction of the paper P. On the other hand, plural discharge holes 72 for discharging the vapor to the outside of a machine from the holes 71 are made to pierce through even a top cover covering the upper surface of the main body case so as to freely open and close it along the width direction of the paper P.
