Abstract:
To provide a travel body which can travel in two directions by selection of crawler travel and rolling travel, which can change orientation during the rolling travel.SOLUTION: A robot R comprises: a body 1; first and second crawler devices CR1, CR2; and a controller. Each of the crawler devices CR1, CR2 comprises a cylindrical crawler unit 5 which is supported to the body 1 in a rotatable manner with a first rotary axis line L1 extending in a first direction as a center. The crawler unit 5 comprises: a support extending in the first direction; and a pair of crawler parts 20A, 20B extending in the first direction and supported to the support, and facing each other while sandwiching the first rotary axis line L1. The controller rotates the crawler parts 20A, 20B of the crawler devices CR1, CR2, for executing crawler travel in the first direction, and rotates the crawler unit 5 in the first rotary axis line L1 for executing rolling travel in a second direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
