Abstract:
To provide a scanner device which can suppress an increase in size of the device while enhancing convenience of a user.SOLUTION: A scanner device comprises: a housing 14 having an insertion port 61 through which a medium 95 is inserted and a discharge port 64 through which the medium 95 is discharged; a conveyance roller conveying the medium 95 inserted through the insertion port 61; and a reading part reading the medium 95 conveyed by the conveyance roller. The insertion port 61 and the discharge port 64 are provided at a +Y direction side intersecting with a Z-axis direction and an axial direction of the conveyance roller out of the housing 14. The housing 14 has a placement surface 15 extending in a -Y direction being an opposite direction to the +Y direction from the insertion port 61. The placement surface 15, in a state of a first end part 951 of the medium 95 being inserted into the insertion port 61, can support a portion of a second end part 952 side being an opposite side to the first end part 951 out of the medium 95. A direction D2 in which the first end part 951 of the medium 95 is discharged from the discharge port 64 is a direction of the + Y direction side or a -Z direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
