Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide disengagement preventing method and device for a pipe joint capable of being applied to the pipe joint using a socket having a step portion on an outer periphery of a pipe end portion, miniaturizing the total length of the device, and suppressing floating of a member mounted on an outer periphery of the socket, and further to provide a socket metal fitting used in the same.SOLUTION: An annular socket metal fitting 4 is placed and mounted on a step portion 11 of a socket 1, and an inner peripheral face of the socket metal fitting 4 is engaged with the step portion 11 in a pipe axial direction. An annular locking metal fitting 5 is mounted on an outer periphery of a spigot 2, a claw member 6 of the locking metal fitting 5 is locked on an outer peripheral face of the spigot 2, and a hook 51 formed on the locking metal fitting 5 is engaged with the socket metal fitting 4 from an outer peripheral side in the pipe axial direction. A load receiving face 40 receiving a load from the hook 51 when external force to disengage the spigot 2 from the socket 1 is applied, is disposed on a position separating in a spigot inserting direction W with respect to the step portion 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
