Abstract:
To provide a secondary battery arranged so that the expansion of a battery cell can be suppressed.SOLUTION: A secondary battery comprises: an electrode body; an outer can that contains the electrode body; and an electrolyte solution put in the outer can together with the electrode body. The electrode body includes: a positive electrode plate including a positive electrode core and a positive electrode active material mixture layer; a negative electrode plate including a negative electrode core and a negative electrode active material mixture layer; and a separator provided between the positive and negative electrode plates. The separator includes a first face opposed to the positive electrode plate, and a second face opposed to the negative electrode plate. An adhesive layer is formed on at least one of the first and second faces. The ratio (L/T) of an inter-electrode distance (L) of the positive and negative electrode plates to a thickness (T) of the separator is 1.12 or more and 1.30 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
