Abstract:
To suppress progress of high-rate deterioration.SOLUTION: A secondary battery 1 includes an electrode body 10 formed by winding positive and negative electrode sheets 35 that are stacked with a separator therebetween, and a case for housing this electrode body 10. Each electrode sheet 35 includes a sheet-shaped current collector, and an electrode active material layer 32 stacked on this current collector. On a side surface of the case, a binding member 60 with a plurality of ribs 61 arranged in an interdigital manner is pressed. In this binding member 60, an intersecting-direction rib extension part 64 where each rib 61 extends in a direction intersecting with the winding axis direction of the electrode body 10 is provided. In the electrode body 10, an intersecting-direction rib pressing region α that is pressed by this intersecting-direction rib extension part 64 is formed. The secondary battery 1 includes a thin part 70 where a thickness of the electrode active material layer 32 provided in the electrode body 10 is small at a position where the intersecting-direction rib pressing region α is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
