Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveyance device that is capable of suppressing the stain on a sheet, and achieves both the functionality during use of an image reading apparatus and the designability during non-use of the apparatus; and the image reading apparatus.SOLUTION: A sheet conveyance device 6 comprises a first support part 26 configured to be capable of supporting a sheet supplied to a conveyance part 20, and a second support part 29 configured to be capable of supporting with a support surface thereof a sheet discharged from the conveyance part 20. When being in a closed position, the support part 26 constitutes with a first surface 261 thereof a part of an exterior surface, and a second surface 262 of the first support part 26 and the second support part 29 are housed in the device. When the first support part 26 is displaced from either one position of the closed position and an open position to the other position, the second support part 29 moves in a direction away from a rotation center R1 of the first support part 26 to evacuate into a second range A2 and then moves in a direction approaching the rotation center R1 of the first support part 26 to recover into a first range A1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
