Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveyance device suppressing wear of a feed roller and quickly conveying a sheet, and an image recording device including the sheet conveyance device.SOLUTION: A sheet conveyance device includes: a feed tray for supporting a sheet; a feed roller; a conveyance roller; a discharge tray; a roller driving mechanism for applying driving force to the feed roller and the conveyance roller and disconnecting the transmission of the driving force to the feed roller when the conveyance roller is normally rotated to the discharge tray; and a control section for controlling the operation of the roller driving mechanism. The control section normally rotates the feed roller when receiving an input, executes determination processing for determining whether the sheet comes into contact with both of the feed roller and the conveyance roller, conveys the sheet by first conveyance processing for normally rotating the conveyance roller at first rotational speed while the sheet comes into contact with both the feed roller and the conveyance roller, and conveys the sheet to the discharge tray by second conveyance processing for normally rotating the conveyance roller at second rotational speed faster than the first rotational speed after the sheet does not come into contact with the feed roller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
