Abstract:
To provide a sheet folder adapted to improve accuracy of a fold positional of a sheet by making a sheet abutment member not slide for the sheet.SOLUTION: A sheet folder includes a sheet stack tray in which a sheet transported by carrying means is stacked inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to a horizontal direction, a folding roller pair 52 and a folding blade 56 that are oppositely arranged sandwiching the sheet stack tray so that the folding blade 56 moves toward the folding roller pair 52 and pushes a predetermined folding position of the sheet in the sheet stack tray to a nip of the folding roller pair 52, and urging means 960 that is provided on one side to the sheet stack tray and extended downstream of the nip of the folding roller pair 52 from an upstream toward a downstream in a sheet transport direction so that when the folding blade 56 pushes the sheet to the nip of the folding roller pair 52, the urging means 960 contacts the sheet and urges the folding position of the sheet toward the folding blade 56.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
