Abstract:

To provide a brake device of a sliding door allowing a braking distance by a dumper to be longer.SOLUTION: A brake device 2 of a sliding door arranged in a sliding door panel is provided with: a trigger 3 disengageably arranged on a receiving concave member 31 in a building side; a sliding member 4 slidable relative to the sliding door panel in an engaged state with the trigger; energizing means 5 that is provided between the sliding member and the sliding door panel and energizes the sliding door panel in an open or a close direction in a state where the sliding member engages the trigger; a dumper 6 for dumping the movement of the sliding door panel in an energizing direction of the energizing means; a first rack gear 71 for moving relative to the sliding door panel together with the sliding member; a second rack gear 72 opposed to the first rack gear and fixed on the sliding door panel; and a pinion gear 65 rotatably supported on an end part of the dumper and meshed between the first rack gear and the second rack gear to rotate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
