Abstract:
To provide a slide member that prevents the occurrence of a fault in a coating due to thermal shock, such as a crack and peeling, and has excellent wear resistance.SOLUTION: A slide member has a base material having a toric groove, and a coating on the groove. The coating has a particle lump of alloy material, and in at least part thereof, a compression residual stress in one of circumferential direction and radial direction is 1 MPa or more, so that it prevents the occurrence of a fault in the coating due to thermal shock and has excellent wear resistance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
