Abstract:
To realize an illumination device that can be expected to have a healing effect through flickering flame and an aromatic device that can be expected to have a relaxation effect through the fragrance of aroma with use of a solid fuel combustor that burns a solid fuel mainly composed of alcohol.SOLUTION: A solid fuel F mainly composed of alcohol is accommodated in a bottomed cylindrical fuel accommodation part 3 provided in a frame 2. A solid fuel combustor is provided with: an ignition heater 4 that faces a side surface of the solid fuel F that is exposed by a cut out part 3a formed at a side wall of the fuel accommodation part 3; drive means 5 enabling the ignition heater 4 to advance toward or retract from the side surface of the solid fuel F; and ignition operation means 7 for performing an ignition operation. The ignition operation of the ignition operation means 7 drives the ignition heater 4 to an ignition position being in contact with the side surface of the solid fuel F, and energizes a heater part 4a and heats the side surface of the solid fuel F to ignite. Other than the time of the ignition operation, the ignition heater 4 is driven toward a direction away from the solid fuel F to be held in a standby position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
