Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variety of compositions comprising iodocarbon compounds, such as trifluoroiodomethane (CF3I), that are surprisingly stable and can be used advantageously in a variety of applications, including as refrigerants in various cooling systems.SOLUTION: A heat transfer composition comprises: (a) at least one iodocarbon; and (b) at least one diene-based compound in an amount effective to stabilize the at least one iodocarbon against degradation.SELECTED DRAWING: None
