To provide a steel that has excellent productivity, and has long-term corrosion resistance and excellent weldability in acid corrosion conditions including sulfuric acid dew point corrosion and hydrochloric acid dew point corrosion.SOLUTION: A steel comprises, in mass%, C: 0.01-0.10%, Si: 0.04-0.40%, Mn: 0.60-1.50%, Cu: 0.02-0.24%, Sb: 0.01-0.23%, Al: 0.005-0.050%, Sn: 0.001-0.20%, Ca: 0.00005-0.010%, one or both of Mo and W: 0.01-0.30% in total, P: 0-0.020%, S: 0-0.015%, N: 0-0.005%, O: 0.0005-0.0035%, with the balance being Fe and impurities, Ca/O of 1.00 or less, a total content of Cu and Sb being 0.05-0.25%, and Ceq(C+Mn/6+(Cu+Ni)/5+(Cr+Mo+V)/15) of 0.180-0.330.SELECTED DRAWING: None
