Title:
ステアリングハンドル
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP7405120
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
To achieve reduction in the number of components while ensuring a soft touch in a rim and appearance quality thereof.SOLUTION: A rim 20 for a steering wheel 14 includes a rim core material 21, a first coating layer 30, a second coating layer 43 and detection electrode layers 44, 45. The first coating layer 30 is formed from a resin material and is covering and fitted onto the rim core material 21. The second coating layer 43 is formed to be soft from polyurethane and constitutes an outermost layer part of the rim 20. The detection electrode layers 44, 45 constitute a part of a capacitive sensor. The capacitive sensor detects a holding state of the rim 20 on the basis of a change in an electrostatic capacitance caused by holding of the rim 20 by the hand of a driver. The detection electrode layers 44, 45 are formed by a conductive material and are arranged between the first coating layer 30 and the second coating layer 43 and generates an electrostatic capacitance between the hand and itself. The rim 20 has a gap part 42 between the rim core material 21 and the first coating layer 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
