PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiglare film-covered substrate that offers superior antiglare and antireflection properties.SOLUTION: An antiglare film-covered substrate 1 comprises a glass based material 3, and an antiglare film 5 provided on top of the glass base material 3 and configured to have a rugged surface. The antiglare film 5 contains first particles 51 having an average major axis diameter of 100-1500 nm and an average aspect ratio of 10-80 as measured by a field emission scanning electron microscope, second particles 53 having an average primary particle diameter of 40-200 nm and an average aspect ratio of 1-5 as measured by a field emission scanning electron microscope, and a silica-based matrix 55.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
