Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical support arm apparatus that can achieve a high degree of freedom or a wide movable range for an arm part, while suppressing the increase in the size of the apparatus.SOLUTION: A medical support arm apparatus 400 has a plurality of active joints 421a-421f that couple a plurality of links 422a-422f, and can change the posture of an arm part 420 to be driven by an actuator and composed of a plurality of links; a torque sensor that detects the torque on the active joints; and at least one passive form changing mechanism 200 that can change the form of the arm part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
