PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for operating a screen by a head-mounted display and a controller cooperating with each other, a method, and a program.SOLUTION: A screen operation system includes: an operation determination section 302 which determines a required user operation according to the contents of a running application; an input detection section 304 which detects output data corresponding to the required user operation, from data output from a controller; an operation determination section 306 which determines motion of a display object, on the basis of the detected output data; a display calculation section 308 which calculates a display parameter of the display object, on the basis of the determined motion of the display object and the detected output data, to generate an image of the display object; and an image generation output section 310 which generates an image by arranging the generated image of the display object in an image on a virtual space, to be output to the head-mounted display.
